Student Leadership Award goes to Huang

Kaiban Huang was awarded the 2008 WNCG Student Leadership Award. He was presented the award in the form of a check in the amount of $500 recently at the WNCG Spring Social. Kaiban’s accomplishments are many: Formally, he won the Best Paper Award at Globecom 2006; informally, he has earned the respect of the faculty and his fellow students at WNCG through his consistent and conscientious efforts on many fronts to improve the Center. In Spring 2005, he initiated and organized the weekly WNCG Student Seminar Series. Throughout 2006 he enhanced the center’s connection to industry through internships at both Freescale and Motorola. Kaiban is now a Postdoctoral Fellow at the prestigious Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
